About this shelf
The Loby Pine radiator shelf brings natural timber character to the space above your radiator. Its warm grain and simple profile suit softer, more relaxed interiors, and it sits over a standard panel radiator without drilling into the wall.
Designed for straightforward fitting, this over-radiator shelf is held by the supplied Loby brackets, which sit behind the radiator rather than being fixed to the wall — well suited to rented homes and room updates where wall damage is not an option.
The shelf is 15.1 cm deep and 1.5 cm thick, in lengths of 40 cm, 60 cm, 75 cm, 90 cm, 100 cm, 120 cm and 140 cm. Measure the full width of your radiator including the valves, then choose the length that covers it.
Crafted from wood with a solid 1.5 cm thickness, it offers reliable strength for décor, plants or everyday storage while keeping a clean, uncluttered look.
Available in Ash and Pine finishes. The shelf uses the same mounting hole pattern as the standard and aluminium Loby radiator shelves, so it is directly interchangeable with them.
Fitting uses the supplied brackets: 2 brackets on the 40 cm, 60 cm, 75 cm, 90 cm and 100 cm shelves, and 3 brackets on the 120 cm and 140 cm. Screws and an Allen key are included. The height is adjustable by moving the brackets forward or back to sit lower or higher on the radiator.

What size radiator shelf do I need?
Measure the full width of your radiator, from the outside of one valve to the outside of the other, or to the outside of the cap where there is no valve. Choose the shortest shelf that is at least 5 cm longer: 40 cm fits radiators up to 35 cm, 60 cm up to 55 cm, 75 cm up to 70 cm, 90 cm up to 85 cm, 100 cm up to 95 cm, 120 cm up to 115 cm and 140 cm up to 135 cm.
That leaves 2.5 cm or more at each end. Every shelf is 15.1 cm deep, and the radiator should sit at least 5 cm from the wall.
Does the shelf need wall drilling?
